Why Biomass?

Biomass heating systems save heating costs and keep fuel dollars in the local economy. It reduces our dependence on imported fuels and also reduces greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollutants. Even better, biomass creates jobs and supports strong markets for low-grade wood, keeping forests un-developed. It is a renewable, sustainable resource.
